Birthplace of Zachary Taylor in Virginia
Monument erected to Zachary Taylor at his grave - The monument was built of Maine gray granite and white Italian Carrara marble and completed on July 4, 1883 and unveiled on September 20, 1883
on February 19, 1925, when President Calvin Coolidge authorized the creatuion of the “Zachary Taylor National Cemetery" in Louisville, Kentucky where Zachary Taylor is buried. I visited the cemetery on July 29, 2013
Original tomb of Zachary Taylor that soon went into disrepair
Current tomb of Zachary Taylor. Taylor’s remains were moved into it on May 6, 1926.
